May 10 Weekly Update
Dear Parishioners,
On behalf of Fr. Albanese and our entire parish and school staff, I wish all mothers a very blessed and happy Mother’s Day. We thank God for the love, sacrifice, strength, and faith of the mothers and grandmothers who do so much for their families and for our parish community. This Sunday, in observance of Mother's Day, the rectory's offices will be closed. They will reopen on Monday, May 11, at 9:00 AM
St. Laurence is hosting a Blood Drive this Sunday in the parish hall. Give the gift of life and help make a difference for someone in need. We invite you to participate by scheduling an appointment using the following link. Thank you for your generosity and support! BLOOD
Our Religious Education Program will begin registration for new students during the week of May 11. Registration for returning students currently enrolled in the program will take place at a later date. More information will be shared soon.

REMEMBER: Starting May 24, our Sunday Mass schedule will change for the Summer. Saturdays remain the same, 4:30 PM Vigil and 7:00 PM Spanish. Sunday Masses will be: 7:30 AM in English, 9:00 AM in Spanish and 11:30 AM in English.
St. Andrew’s Church is hosting a support group for those who have suffered a loss by suicide. For more information please use the link: LIFE
The Quo Vadis Camp for high school boys considering a vocation to the priesthood will take place June 22–25. It will help them reflect on God's call on their lives. Space is limited. Registration is open until May 22. Please visit this link for more information: QUO VADIS
Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary is offering the Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program. All young men in high school—incoming juniors through graduating seniors—are eligible to participate in this program that runs from Monday morning, July 6, 2026 through Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2026. Damos gracias a Dios por el amor, el sacrificio, la fortaleza y la fe de las madres y abuelas que hacen tanto por sus familias y por nuestra comunidad parroquial. Este domingo, con motivo del Día de la Madre, las oficinas de la rectoría permanecerán cerradas. Reabrirán el lunes 11 de mayo a las 9:00 AM.
San Lorenzo está organizando una jornada de donación de sangre este domingo en el salón parroquial. Done el regalo de la vida y ayude a marcar la diferencia para alguien que lo necesita. El Seminario San Carlos Borromeo ofrece el Programa de Catholic Scholar (Eruditos Católicos de Filadelfia). Todos los jóvenes varones que cursan la escuela secundaria —desde los que inician el tercer año hasta los que están por graduarse— son elegibles para participar en este programa, el cual se llevará a cabo desde la mañana del lunes 6 de julio de 2026 hasta la tarde del jueves 16 de julio de 2026. ¡La fecha límite para enviar las solicitudes es el 1 de junio de 2026!
