Special Announcement
Dear Parishioners,
As some of you may have already heard, Fr. Anthony Albanese will soon conclude his ministry at Saint Laurence Parish. Archbishop Perez has assigned him to the faculty of Pope St. John Paul II High School Royersford (www.pjphs.org),, as a theology teacher and school chaplain. He will reside at St. Aloysius parish in Pottstown, PA (www.saintaloysius.net).
Since arriving at Saint Laurence on June 19, 2023, Fr. Anthony has served our parish with tremendous joy, fidelity, and generosity. In a special way, his ministry to our young people has left a lasting impact on our entire parish family. He revived and greatly strengthened our altar server program, founded a vibrant youth ministry program from the ground up, and faithfully ministered in Saint Laurence School and PREP. He also founded and trained our new OCIA team, helping guide adults who were preparing to complete their sacraments or enter fully into the Catholic faith.
Through all of this, Fr. Anthony has shared his love for Jesus Christ, his joy in the priesthood, and his enthusiasm for the Catholic faith with countless people in our parish community.
While we will greatly miss him at Saint Laurence, we are deeply grateful for his three years of priestly service here and we wish him every blessing as he begins this next chapter of his priesthood. We are confident that he will continue to serve the Church with the same joy and dedication that he has shared with us.
Fr. Anthony’s final weekend at Saint Laurence will be June 27-28. We will be celebrating and thanking him after all Masses during the weekend of June 20-21.

Estimados feligreses:
Como algunos de ustedes ya habrán escuchado, el Padre Anthony Albanese concluirá pronto su ministerio en la Parroquia de San Lorenzo El Arzobispo Pérez lo ha asignado al cuerpo docente de la Escuela Secundaria Papa Juan Pablo II, (www.pjphs.org) en Royersford, como profesor de teología y capellán escolar. Él residirá en la Parroquia San Luis Gonzaga en Pottstown, PA (www.saintaloysius.net).
Desde su llegada a San Lorenzo el 19 de junio de 2023, el Padre Anthony ha servido a nuestra parroquia con inmensa alegría, fidelidad y generosidad. Su ministerio entre nuestros jóvenes ha dejado una huella perdurable en toda nuestra familia parroquial de manera especial. Revitalizó y fortaleció enormemente nuestro programa de monaguillos, fundó desde sus cimientos un vibrante programa de pastoral juvenil y ejerció fielmente su ministerio tanto en la Escuela de San Lorenzo como en el programa PREP. Asimismo, fundó y formó a nuestro nuevo equipo de OICA, ayudando a guiar a aquellos adultos que se preparan para completar sus sacramentos o para incorporarse plenamente a la fe católica.
A lo largo de todo este tiempo, el Padre Anthony ha compartido su amor por Jesucristo, su alegría en el sacerdocio y su entusiasmo por la fe católica con innumerables personas de nuestra comunidad parroquial.
Aunque lo extrañaremos mucho en San Lorenzo, estamos profundamente agradecidos por sus tres años de servicio sacerdotal aquí y le deseamos toda clase de bendiciones al comenzar este nuevo capítulo de su sacerdocio. Confiamos en que continuará sirviendo a la Iglesia con la misma alegría y dedicación que ha compartido con nosotros.
El último fin de semana del Padre Anthony en San Lorenzo será el 27 y 28 de junio. Tendremos una celebración y le daremos las gracias durante el fin de semana del 20 y 21 de junio, después de todas las Misas.
Por favor, continúen teniendo presente al Padre Anthony en sus oraciones durante este tiempo de transición. También los invitamos a compartir un recuerdo favorito, una fotografía o un mensaje de despedida para el Padre Anthony en los comentarios de abajo.
