June 7 Weekly Update
Dear Parishioners,
Please note that the Rectory Office will be closed on Tuesday, June 9 for a staff development day. We kindly ask you to keep our parish staff in your prayers as we gather for a day of reflection, fellowship, and renewal in our ministry and service to you. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Registration for our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is now open for all children and families. We warmly invite you to join us as we continue forming young hearts in the faith and love of Christ. Don’t miss the early bird registration fee that ends on July 6.
Thanks for praying together in preparation for the consecration of our parish to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From June 3rd through June 11th, we invite everyone to pray the novena either at home or together with us after the daily Masses. Prayer cards are available at the entrances of the church.
Father’s Day cards are now available. Please feel free to take as many as you need. If you wish, you may include a donation and return the envelopes with the names of the fathers you would like to remember in prayer. These names will be placed upon the altar, and on Father’s Day we will offer special prayers for all fathers, living and deceased.
Please note that beginning June 15, our daily Masses will be held in the Parish Hall while necessary work is completed in the church. The ceiling will be inspected, and tiles will be repaired or replaced as needed. We are grateful for your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain a safe and welcoming space for all. the Sunday Mass will be held on the Main Church. Thank you for keeping this project in your prayers.
Jennifer Rose, our Senior Advocate, will be sharing information regarding PRODUCE and STEPS. We encourage anyone interested to learn more about these helpful resources and opportunities.
Archbishop Nelson Pérez has warmly welcomed Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas(“Magnificent Humanity”), with profound gratitude, and encourages all people to read it prayerfully and reflect on its important message.

Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary is offering the Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program. Young men in high school—incoming juniors through graduating seniors—are eligible to participate in this program, which runs from Monday morning, July 6, 2026 through Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2026. Les informamos que la Oficina Parroquial estará cerrada el 9 de junio con motivo de una jornada del personal. Les pedimos amablemente que tengan presente en sus oraciones a nuestro equipo parroquial mientras nos reunimos para un día de reflexión, comunión y renovación en nuestro ministerio y servicio a ustedes. Gracias por su comprensión y continuo apoyo.
Las inscripciones para nuestro Programa de Educación Religiosa ya están abiertas para todos los niños. Invitamos cordialmente a las familias a formar parte de este importante camino de fe y crecimiento espiritual. Tarifa por inscripción anticipada termina el 6 de julio. No se la pierda.
Les agradecemos por unirse a nosotros en oración por nuestra parroquia en preparación para la consagración de nuestra parroquia al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Del 3 al 11 de junio, podrán rezar la novena en sus hogares o acompañarnos después de las Misas diarias. Las tarjetas con la oración estarán disponibles en las entradas de la iglesia. El viernes 12 de junio, a las 7:30 PM, tendremos un tiempo de Adoración Eucarística, seguido de la consagración formal de nuestra parroquia al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, uniéndonos espiritualmente a la consagración de los Estados Unidos que realizarán los Obispos del país el día anterior. Que este sea para todos un momento especial de gracia, renovación y encuentro con el amor misericordioso de Cristo.
Las tarjetas para el Día del Padre ya están disponibles. Pueden tomar tantas como necesiten. Si lo desean, pueden incluir una donación y devolver los sobres con los nombres de los padres que quisieran encomendar en nuestras oraciones. Estos nombres serán colocados sobre el altar y, en el Día del Padre, ofreceremos oraciones especiales por todos los padres, vivos y difuntos.

El Seminario San Carlos Borromeo ofrece el Programa Catholic Scholar (Eruditos Católicos de Filadelfia). Todos los jóvenes varones que cursan la escuela secundaria —desde quienes comienzan el tercer año hasta los que están próximos a graduarse— son elegibles para participar en este programa, que se llevará a cabo desde la mañana del lunes 6 de julio de 2026 hasta la tarde del jueves 16 de julio de 2026.
