WHO IS A REGULAR VOLUNTEER?

A REGULAR VOLUNTEER IS DEFINED AS ANYONE WHO HAS CONTACT WITH CHILDREN AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK (LUNCH MONITORS, COACHES, PREP CATECHISTS, AND CONSISTENT SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS).

As a regular volunteer, you will need to complete all the clearances and training below. All copies should be dropped off at the Parish Rectory with attention to Safe Environment or at the email: safe.env@saintlaurencedelco.org

For your convenience, you can print this check list for our parish and school. This will help you to be on track to obtain your clearances and complete the required training.

Safe Environment Clearences

  • (this must be renewed every 5 years)

    If you have lived in the State of Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years or more, print and sign the 2nd page. Please forward a copy of this certificate to the Parish Office.

    Volunteer Disclosure Statement

    If you have not lived in PA for 10 consecutive years, you will need FBI fingerprints in addition to the below requirements

    This background check can be obtained online with results available in a few minutes.
    Once the results are available, please click on the CONTROL # and then the CERTIFICATION FORM. We need the actual certificate, not the pages that say record check.  Please print & forward a copy of this certificate to the Parish Office in the Rectory.

    Once the certificate is emailed to you, please print & forward a copy of this certificate to the Parish Office.

  • Protecting God's Children (in-person or over Zoom) -provides basic facts about child sexual abuse and the adults’ roles in prevention:

  • Mandated Reporting of Suspected Child Abuse (online) provides an overview of Archdiocesan reporting procedures for suspected child abuse and Pennsylvania Child Welfare Laws.

    This training is mandatory for all new volunteers who have regular contact with children. This training is available online through the Office for Child and Youth Protection website  under “Training Institute”
